Essay

From the conditioned media of human epidermoid carcinoma cells expressing the transforming growth factor-alpha gene, a nearly 3 kDa peptide possessing the inhibitory activity towards the protein kinases is isolated. The conditions of secretion of the peptide and its activity towards the protein kinases (ErbB, Lyn, Syk, PKC-mu), cultured cells, and microorganisms are investigated.
