The thesis is aimed at studying pathogenetic mechanisms of ulcerous disease of the duodenum in adolescents and at determining the effect of up-to-date antiulcerous pharmaceutics on those mechanisms It has been established that acute condition of the disease in adolescents is accompanied by intensified lipid peroxi-dation against the background of disbalance in antioxidant system components as well as by relative deficiency of endjgenic prostaglandins, by inhibition of the mucous membrane of the stomach synthesizing fucoglicoproteides and lisozyme. The state of the factors does not depend in acidogenic function of the gaster. Available antiulcerius medicaments exercise unidirectional influence on the psthogenetic mechanisms. Their employment results in certain decrease in intensivity of lipid peroxidation processes and stimulating antioxidant defense system in normalization of endogenic prostaglandins synthesis and bioenergetic processes, in an increase of mucus formation and in stimulating local nonsp ecific reactivity of gastral mucosa.
