Essay

The thesis presents the results of karyotype examination of bone marrow cells from 74 patients with myeloproliferative disorders. According to its the patients were stratified into three risk prognostic groups for leukemic transformation of myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS): high, low and intermediate. Patients with acute leukemia after MDS phase had more complicated cytogenetic changes than patients with AML de novo. The character of survival for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia depends on cytogenetical variant of disease and a presence of other chromosomal abnormalities.
