The object of the research is a high-rise building. The aim is to develop the method of forming the residential development in accordance with the wind characteristics of the high-rise building. Methods of the research are the test in a wind tunnel and the statistic evaluation of their results. The deformation parameters of an air flow and their empirical dependences are developed. The technique of wind comfort evaluation and the method of determination of wind pressure coefficients has been developed. The novelty is as follows: the wind site of a high-rise building classification; the technique of wind comfort evaluation; determination of wind pressure coefficients; algorithm for determining of the level of wind comfort in the development. The results are being used in designing the new developments. The field of using is town-planning.
