Essay

The systems of two layers and two co-axial circular hollow cylinders. To suggest the statements of thermoelastic problems of contact interaction; to construct analytical and numerical methods of their solution; to study the influence of thermomechanical characteristics of solids, oblique forces, and heat generation on the configuration of solids in contact and main searching characteristics. The methods of investigation include the theory of integral transforms, integral equations, special and analytic functions, numerical methods. Some novel one- and two-dimensional quasi-static thermoelastic problems with non-stationar frictional heat generation are solved. Some effects arising due to the time-dependent heat generation under the contact interaction of a rigid punch and layer, tire and cylinder are analysed. The use is to be made of this belongs to the contact mechanics and tribology.
