The dissertation presents the analysis of the active normative-legal basis of disciplinary responsibility of public officials and the order of its application; it investigates its effectiveness and determines the means to overcome the defects revealed. New theoretical and practical suggestions have been devised to optimize the disciplinary responsibility of public officials and the order of its application as well as recommendations and suggestions to introduce some addenda and changes to the legislation in force.
