Research subjects: wheat market of Ukraine, agricultural and grain processing enterprises of Poltava oblast. Research objectives: The main aim of the present thesis is substantiation of a mechanism for developing competitiveness on a basis of marketing. This mechanism is expected be a ground for creating methodological concepts to achieve competitiveness in the performance of agricultural enterprises. Methods: grouping, monographs, Grouping, monographs, normative-calculated, abstract logical, tentative. Theoretical and practical results: concept of competitiveness and marketing have been combined at one complex of marketing activity. Marketing methods of competitiveness providing have been established with taking into account specific character of agricultural production. The way of agricultural enterprises marketing activity improving, modern methods and means of analyzing market conditions, marketing service at agricultural enterprises have been discovered in the thesis. Novelty of introduced: The methodology and methods of measuring agricultural production competitiveness have been modified and improved in terms of its quality specifics (on wheat example); macro- and micromarketing categories has been elaborated and classification of marketing function have been worked out; the approach of providing enterprise competitiveness and tools of understanding quality characteristics of exporting and importing commodity (wheat) have been discovered; approaches on creating marketing strategy and its role in providing of agricultural enterprises competitiveness have been developed; necessity and the alternative variants of marketing service foundation at the agricultural enterprise have been grounded; the role of trading houses and commodity exchanges in increasing competitiveness agricultural products have been substantiated. expediency for creating a marketing cooperative for grain storage and sale, which is a key factor for achieving competitiveness of agricultural output producers has been proved. Implemen tation degree: The thesis has practical value for organizations dealing with the agricultural marketing issues, and especially for the grain subcomplex: output producers, trading houses, cooperatives, etc. The results of the research also present special value for the Ukrainian Grain Association - an organization embracing representatives of the grain marketing chain in Ukraine. Effectiveness: It accelerates the using of marketing at agro-industrial complex of Ukraine as effective mechanism of agricultural enterprise competitiveness providing. Sphere, sector of implementation: The thesis has practical value for organizations dealing with the agricultural marketing issues, and especially for the grain subcomplex: output producers, trading houses, cooperatives, etc. The results of the research also present special value for the Ukrainian Grain Association - an organization embracing representatives of the grain marketing chain in Ukraine.
