Aleksiyevets' O. Prosodic Intensification Means of the Modern English Utterances (experimental-phonetic research)

The intensification process of the modern English utterances. To determine the main peculiarities of the intensified utterance actualization. Methods of the investigation are analysis, synthesis, auditory, acoustic, recording. The functional-pragmatic and emotional types of the intensified utterances are systematized; the known parameters of the utterance intensity are reduced to the general scale of its estimation levels; the generalized model of the mechanism of extralinguistic factors interaction is elaborated; the peculiarities of the intensified utterances prosodic organization are experimentally established. The structure and character of the prosodic intensification means interaction are defined. The results are used in teaching theoretical and practical phonetics as well as phonostylistics. The sphere of usage is theoretical, experimental phonetics and communicative linguistics.
