Kharchuk S. Combined treatment of patients with epilepsy using valproic acid preparations under conditions of specialized epileptologic center

The thesis is devoted to the problem of improving combined treatment of patients with epilepsy. The schedules of combined therapy of patients suffering from epilepsy with generalized and partial seizures using valproic acid preparations and its combinations with diphenin and finlepsin were elaborated in the work on the basis of clinical, laboratory, electroencephalographic, pathopsychologic findings. The efficiency of differentiatet application of valproic acid preparations in this contingent of patients was proved, the positive influence of developed therapy on cognitive functions of patients was established. The advantage of performing antiepiliptic therapy under conditions of specialized epileptologic center was shown.
