Essay

Activity of different confessions in 1919-1929 in Transcarphatia as a part of Czechoslovakian republic. The inter-confessional relations under the conditions of democratisation of society get complex coverage. Methods of investigation are the problematic-chrono-logical and the comparative-analytical. The democratic atmosphere of Czechoslovakia was favourable for the development of freedom of religions, for the revival of the Orthodox Church. The change of religion structure led to the tension in the relations between Orthodox and Greek-Catholic believers. The opposition negatively influenced the relations of the region's population of different confessions, distracted people from struggle for solving the complicated problems, social-economic problems. Results in the branches of world history and history of religion are gained. The State Archive of Transcarphatian region, the archive of Mukachevo-Uzhgorod Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the archives in Czech republic are the main sources o f the document used.
