Semchenko V. Cottonized fibre effected by long-flax raw grade and stock weathering.

The object of a research is stock of long-flax grades registered in Ukraine and technology of production cottonized fibre. The purpose of a research - definition of selection criterions of long-flax grades most suitable for production cottonized linen fibre, study of influence of a weathering degree on an output and properties of a short fibre. The most suitable grade of long-flax for cottoning production is Mogilyovsky grade. Optimum terms of a weathering stock for production cottoning are determined. The optimum parameters and technological conditions for use linen cottoning in cotton production are found. The main developments have passed check under production conditions at linen mills of Zhitomir area and Kherson cotton mills.
