Gryzhak I. Application of Lithium Carbonatis in a Complex Treatment of patients with Hepatites A and B.

The work presents rezults of clinicobiochemical, immunologic and citogenetic study of patients suffering from acute hepatites A and B with differrent levels of severity and conteins an estimation of the efficiency using a preparation with normothymic and immunotropic features - lithium carbonatis compared with a routine basic therapy. The complex treatment with lithium carbonatis of the acute hepatitis A patients result in an increase of the large granular lymphocytes number and the a decrease in the circulating immune complexes level, an improvement of the phagocytosis indices and functional status of the somatic cells genotypes, reductions of asthenic vegetativ syndrom manifestations, but doesn't reduce the jondice period. It was found out that lithium carbonatis use in a complex treatment of patients suffering from acute hepatitis B with a middle severity and patients who had received prednisolone gave a pronounced effect, bilirubin exchange findings get normalized sooner and jaundice period reduces. The patients restore the organism immunologic status, a balance between specific and nonspecific factors of the cellular immunity is maintained, the phagocytic activity of neutrophils granulocytes increase and the genotype functional status of the somatic cells being in an interphase improves.
