The subject of the investigation is the problem of formation and development of Ukrainian-Polish relations in 1991-1997. The evolution of the foreign policy concepts is presented, which were proposed by the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Ukraine and Poland, political parties and individuals, the economic relations are viewed on the state level and in "Carpathians" and "Bug" euroregions, the Ukrainian-Polish cultural relations are analysed, with the role of national minorities in their development.
