Essay

The object of our study was the age-related dinamics of spontaneous mutability of meristemal cells in seeds of welsh onion. We studied dependence of spontaneous level of chromosomal aberrations in cells of welsh onion on conditions and term of keeping of seeds. Spontaneous and formaldehyde induced level of mutagenesis, influence of riboflavin and timogen on spontaneous and formaldehyde induced frequency of aberration's anaphases in meristemal cells was studied. Our research have shown different age-related dynamics of mutability of cells in seeds of different origine. Age-related dinamics of spontaneous mutability of cells of A. fistulosum L. increases with. A sensitiveness of cells to the damaging influences is dependent on the speed of age-related dinamics of spontaneous mutability.
