Subject of the thesis - textual situation "crime-responsibility". Objective - ascertainment of characteristic peculiarities of language realization of the textual situation "crime-responsibility" and determination of its variations in Modern English texts of different functional styles. Methods of semantic-conceptual modelling namely methods of frame and prototype analysis and contrastive analysis were applied. Novelty-first revealed the interconnection between the cognitological pattern representation in the text and its functional-stylistic peculiarties.
