Essay

Steady vibrations of thin-walled shells containing a fluid. To study experimentally dynamical characteristics of natural vibrations of thin-walled shells filled of a fluid and to establish the influence of a fluid on change of these characteristics. A high-accuracy method of stroboscopic holographic interferometry with a specific sequence of exposure of holograms is used. Both fabrication of testing samples and methods of excitation of vibrations via piezoelements are described. Regular spectrum of the first sixteen natural frequencies and normal modes is obtained for the hollow, partly, and/or completely filled shells with different edge conditions. These results are compared with known theoretical data. The use is to be made of this belongs to the sphere of aero-space and shipbuilding industry.
