Essay

The thesis is devoted to a research of processes of forming and acceleration of beams in radio-frequency sources of electrons with a thermionic cathode (further RF guns). Aspects of obtaining of electron beams with precision performances have been considered on the basis of computer simulation and experimental researches. The concept of composition of multicavity RF guns was offered and the gun with a large average current was designed on its basis. The effect of back bombardment and methods of its decreasing as wall as non-stationary processes in thermionic cathodes were investigated. The experimental researches of created the single-cavity and the two-cavity RF guns - injectors of the acting accelerators were carried out.
