The thesis is devoted to V.B.Antonovych, well-known Ukrainian archaeographer of the second half 19th - early 20th cen. He looked for, described and published historical sources of Right-Bank Ukraine in the 16th-18th cen. on the basis of record books. The public, pedagogical and archaeographical activity of V.Antonovych has been considered in the thesis. "Archive of the South-Western Russia", "Memoirs" and other sources have been analyzed. Archaeographical processing and forms of publications have been examined.
