Essay

Extension of functionalities of airborne weather-and-navigational radars (WNR) and complexes is implemented by the following ways: increase of range of unambiguous determination of weather formations dangerous for flights; detection of counter airplanes and helicopters, external boundaries of clouds and precipitation including weak clouds and growing clouds; compensation of radar signal attenuation during the passing through a weather object; dangerous turbulence zones detection; automatic adjustment of WNR's parameters for the formation of radar map by standard way; automatic creation of radar map by automatic selection and integration of characteristic navigational reference points; construction of a small-sized noise-resistent communication channel with radar beacons-responders.
