Karachevs'kyj A. Psychopatalogical peculiarities, typology and prognosis of the course of opioid withdrawal syndrome, its therapy with the use of plasmaferesis

215 opioid addicts were examined with the help of clinico-psychopathological and pathopsychological methods. Investigated were the peculiarities of a person, the changes of the motivation of usage on different steps of the dependence development as well as the connection of motivation of usage of drugs with the peculiarities of the patients' personality. There were underlined four clinical forms of opioid withdrawal syndrome: 1) explosive; 2) asthenic with the predominance of somato-vegetative symptoms; 3) dysthymic; 4) "productive" with the breach of consiousness. Their prognosive criteriae was produced. So the use of plasmaferesis in the treatment of opioid withdrawal syndrome resulted in decreased the duration of hospitalization for patients and minimized the need for medication, and improves the overall result of therapy.
