Publication includes result of investigstion of ouabaine-sensitive sodium extrusion, furosemid-sensitive Na, K, CL - cotransport and Na/Li - countertransport pecularities in red blood cells of patients with alcoholism, in the presence of hepstic alcohol affections, including cases with concominant high blood pressurec and alcohol psychoses. autor substantiated the need for furasolidone administration in the treatment of alcoholism as an agent that is able to eliminate disturbances of Na+ homeostasis and normalize sodium-trsnsporting function of red blood cells. Experimental studies established the ways, in which furasolidone influences body functions with minimal influence on sodium-transporting systems and oxydative stress development in blood and liver.
