Masyuta D. Autonomic adaptation of Cardio-Vascular system in children with acute respiratory infections who live in a big industrial region

One hundred and fifty three children, inhabitants of an industrial region of Donbass, were examined. Of them, 117 had various forms of ARVI, while 36 children without ARVI manifestation composed the comparison group. Ginseng tincture was included into complex therapy of 50 cases with complicated ARVI. Forty five children received conventional therapy and entered the control group. The purpose of the study was to improve the efficacy of diagnosing changes in the state of autonomic adaptation of the cardiovascular system in normal children and those with ARVI who live in a large industrial region. Methods: clinical, electrocardiography, cardiointervalography, echocardiography, a quick test of determining the state of the body according to V. Ya. Umansky. Equipment: echocardiograph, electrocardiograph, the "Diagnosis" device, manometric membranous device. Theoretical and practical value: adaptive potentials of the cardiovascular system in normal and ARVI children from Donetsk industrial region have been estimated; the indications for the use of the adaptogen for correction of impaired of autonomic adaptation of the cardiovascular system in various forms of ARVI have been developed; the immediate and distant efficacy of Ginseng tincture added to complex therapy of children with complicated ARVI has been assessed. The results of the study have been introduced into practice of children's institutions of Donetsk and Zugres as informational messages. It results in a 2 to 3 - day reduction of treatment time and an enhanced adaptive potentials of children's body. Application: pediatrics.
