Essay

Worked out are new models of optimization problems of non-regular placement of oriented and non-oriented 2D and 3D geometric objects in isotropic and non-isotropic placement regions having variable metric characteristics. Investigation methods - optimization geometric design, operation research. Сreated and analyzed is the apparatus of structures of non-linear inequalities describing basic geometric restrictions of the optimization placement problems being considered. New method searching for local (global) minimum of the placement has been proposed. Algorithmic and program implementations of the solution methods accompanied with computation complexity evaluations have been described. Software is planed to itulise in scientific investigations and under development of CAD/CAM systems for ligth and metal industries.
