Essay

The somatoform pain disorders has been studied on the basis of phenomenological description and psychopatological analysis and with usage of experimental psychological methods.It has been proved that somatization and conversion pain constitute a uniform group of psychogenous algias, and idiopathic pains have the common features with other signs of obsessive-compulsive syndrome. The new typology of somatoform pain disorders and new systematization of obsessive-compulsive conditions has been proposed as well as the new term ''bodily algic obsessions''. The criteria for differential and new approach to the treatment of chronic psychalgias have been developed.
