With the purpose of establishing of the features of metabolic adaptation of protein systems, peroxidation of protein and lipids in newborns, which was born with small weight of the body, and working out of measures on reduce of neonatal lethality and morbity 249 newborns were investigated with the help of clinical, laboratory and biochemical researches. In the dissertation for the first time m medicine the processes of peroxidation of proteins and lipids in newborns which was born with small weight of the body are investigated. It was established, that processes of oxidative modification of proteins proceed more intensively, than in adults. High correlation communication between a level of oxidative modification (peroxidation) of proteins and peroxidation of lipids is noted. The processes of lipids peroxidation in newborn were reduced in comparison with the adults. Formation of proteins systems participating in acute phase, in imun ological reactions, proteolysis, begin in early embryonic period. It was established, what on development of proteins systems the decisive influence of gestation period and health of the mother; smaller meaning play weight of the newborn body and his health. The result of the investigation was introduced into practice of obstetrical establishments of. Crimea.
