Essay

The dissertation is aimed at creating modeling means which enable efficient development and control of flexible discrete-event systems (FDES), in particular, flexible manufacturing systems. The proposed approach consists in combining high- and low-level Petri nets, process algebras and fuzzy set-related means into a common framework attached with special decision-making techniques.
