Essay

The method for reconstruction of an associative response of a static nonlinearly recorded hologram has been substantiated. Error-correcting holographic associative memories have been proposed and implemented. The concept of a holographic associative memory has been generalized for mutually incoherent signals as well as for non-diffuse ones. The problem of vectorial phase conjugation by means of static holography has been solved.
