Lytvyn S. Simon Petlyra in National Liberation struggle of Ukrainian People (1917-1926). Aspects of Historiography and Source Study.

The thethis is the first time systematic research in Ukrainian Source Studies of all of the complex of historiography and archive sources which shed Light of the Life path, social, political and military activities of the prominent statesman, Simon Petlyura, Head of Directory and Ataman (Commander) - in Chief of Ukrainian People's Republic. Drawing from considerable amount of historical literature, memoirs, media informations and hitherto unknown archives materials and documents, the author succeded in analysing development and contemporary state of source studies on S. Petlyura and made it possible to reconstruct his life and activities on the backgraund of national liberation struggle of Ukrainian people.
