Essay

The theses is a first complex study of the primary sources concerning the socio-economic history of Southern Ukraine of the last quarter of the XVIII century. The dissemination of the principle of mechanical accumulation of historical facts transformed the study of primary sources to formality. The particular qualities of the control system and administrative structure of the southern region have been indicated. The regularities of documentary sources' movement have been analyzed by author. The informative potentials of the actualized base of primary sources concerning the agrarian relations, colonization and settlement in Southern Ukraine have been shown. It is proved that during the last quarter of the XVIII century the zaporizhzha heritage was one of the main political problems for the Russian state.
