Development and Basing of the Method of Variable Scale in Structural Mechanics The partial differential equations in structural mechanics that describe oscillations are reduced to the ordinary differential equations or their systems by the Bubnov-Galerkin's proce- dure. Formulas of approached solution of these equations are built by means of dependent and independent variables change and by compressed reflection method application. The estimation of approaches is found. The row of new problems in structural mechanics is solved by obtained formulas. The method is used derectly to the partial differential equations for solving some problems. The most effective application of the method while solving specific problems is shown.
