SMOLANKA I. Combined treatment for patients with lung cancer.

The thesis is devoted to the issues of improved efficacy of the combined treatment for patients with lung cancer with adjuvant and neoadjuvant methods of antitumor therapy. We have evaluated the surgical results in the treatment of patients with lung cancer. Effective techniques were developed for the combined treatment using preoperative thermochemotherapy, thermoradiotherapy, intratumoral thermochemotherapy, as well as postoperative nonspecific and specific immunotherapy. Direct and remote treatment results have been evaluated. We have supported the purposefulness and defined the indications of the developed techniques of combined treatment in patients with lung cancer depending on the main prognostic factors. The necessity for surgery has been grounded for elderly patients.
