Essay

Object: process of formation of physical clusters. Goals: determination of pathways and physical mechanism of formation of gas-phase clusters on energy transfer to solid bodies and liquids under their bombardment by accelerated particles. Methods: low-temperature secondary-emission mass spectrometry. New results: a new direction of low temperature secondary emission mass spectrometry is developed. A new solution of a problem of experimental determination of physical mechanisms of formation of gas-phase clusters under secondary emission conditions is given. Introduction: the results can be accounted in development of scientific equipment. Employment: the results can be used in molecular-biophysical studies of intermolecular interactions of biomolecules under low temperatures, in ecological studies of ice.
