Object of study - regularity of dependence of the polystyrene scintillator technological parameters of production and their operating performances. The purpose of investigation – working out of new and advance of existing polystyrene scintillators, which are distinguished the big dimensions, high operating performances; development of technology of their production. Methods of research and equipment: the spectroscopic - luminescent equipment, laser photometry, gas chromatography, differentiational microcalorimetry, profilometry. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: the worked out technology of large-sized scintillator production. The dependence between composition, production method, doze rate of irradiation of scintillators and their radiation stability has been established. The regimes of handling have been obtained. The new native scintillators, which are exceed on totality of operational parameters the analogs of leading manufacturing firms , have been designed and produced. Field of applic ation: the optical and scintillation material research science.
