Dovgan' O. Surgical treatment of the heart anomaly with functional single ventricle.

The dissertation is dedicated to studying pathologic anatomy, pathophysiology, clinical features and surgical treatment of the heart anomaly with functional single ventricle. It was established that for the heart anomaly with functional single ventricle there is typically wide variety of anatomy of ventricles, great vessels, valves and other structures. As the result of performed programme of diagnostic examination was developed for patients with mis pathology; the strategy of surgery was optimized for various clinico-anatomycal forms of univentricular heart; the operation of fenestrated total cavopulmonary connection was improved; method of the one and a half ventricular repair for patients with hypoplastic right ventricle and new modification of the atriopulmonary connection associated with bidirectional cavapulmonary anastomosis for bicuspid atresia were proposed; the complex approach was developed for surgical treatment of univentricular heart. Early and late outcomes of a different types of hemody namic repair were studied.
