YeMETs' I. Surgical treatment of the transposition of the great arteries.

The dissertation is dedicated to studying morphological, physiological and clinical features of the transposition of the great arteries (TGA), elaboration and introduction of modern method of surgical treatment of heart defect. It was established that giving a specialized medical aid for TGA mostly must take place at the neonatal period. Timely early diagnostics with Rashkind emergency procedure and prescribing prostaglandin-E are main preoperative treatment. There was established a new modification of TGA repair on the atrial level, using autopericardium which improved early and late follow up results of the operation. There were introduced into practice a new surgical methods of coronary arteries transplantation for TGA. There was elaborated Lecompte operation for TGA with palmonary artery stenosis. As a result of carried out statistical analysis there were revealed a most important factors which influenced on early and late follow up results of the TGA repair.
