GOROBETs' V. The Problem of Legitimation Elites of Cossack Ukraine at Foreign Activity of the Hetmanate: Relations with Russia and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1654-1665)

The Dissertation is the first research at the Ukrainian historiography of the Ukrainian - Russian and Ukrainian - Polish relations of Middle 1650 - First Half 1660th executed in view of their close interaction and interferences, on the basis of the analysis of the wide invoice of the international processes of the Central - East Europe and in the context of search by elite of the Cossack Ukraine of ways legitimation the exclusive position. It is established, that the decision of a problem of the legitimation of an exclusive position of the Ukrainian Cossacks acted as one of the main dominants of foreign activity of the Hetmanate. Followed an influence of the Ukrainian foreign policy on the structure of military-political balance at the Central - East Europe. The level of correlation of the foreign rate of the Hetmanate and regional international processes is found out. Existing characteristics of central questions of Ukrainian - Russian and Ukrainian - Polish mutual relation are reconsidered. New interpretation of essence of a political opposition on the Left-Bank Ukraine at the beginning of 1660th.
