Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the problem of sugrical treatment of the patients with chronic pulurent otitis media. The electronmicroscopic study of the lining of tympanic isthmus and aditus reveals ciliated epithelium. In persons with chronic otitis media narrow passage's walls are covered with ciliated epithelium, but middle ear mucosa appears to be more active showing the increased mucociliary clearance. In the majority of patients (84%) the mucosa of a tympanic cavity (visible through the perforation) corresponds to the living of the mastoid air cells and can be considered as a criteria of operation scale. To improve the contact of the fascial graft with malleus handle the "channel" fixation was designed. To create neo tympanic cavity combined Teflon-cartilage sheeting being placed on a medial wall of tympanic cavity.
