Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of development, theoretical and experimental analysis of effective systems of the existing RC beam spans widening with one-time strengthening by new monolithic, precast-monolithic and precast RC superimposed plate construction with 4...4.5 m consoles. The author's 8 certificates, four patents of Ukraine and patent of Russia carry the newness of research effort. The computation methods of existing and widening by attached elements and RC superimposed plate spans at the elastic and physical-nonlinear stage was carried out. The new proposition of computation of carrying elements and joint nodes of existing and widened RC spans at 1-st and 2-nd groups of limit states by static and fatigue loading was worked out too. The computation methods by testing of existing RC models and in situ test of span with TP 56 14.06 m length beams before and after widening with ribbed precast-monolithic superimposed plate were controled. Good coincidence of calculated and measured bending moments and deflections of span beams were obtained. The proposed construction of RC superimposed plate have been used in the reconstruction of 42 bridges with different span schemes in Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan and as a component of the part in the "Highway Bridge Reconstruction Instruction" BCH 51-88
