Essay

The experimental animals (rabbits) and the patients after traumatic damage,complicated by intraocular foreign body. The methods of the investigations are ophthalmological,immunological and histochemical. While studing the processes developed in the traumatic eye,there were established characteristic peculiarities of early,"preclinical" (functional), stage of eye siderosis. There was devised classification of eye siderosis,new methods of localization and surgical treatment of traumatic patients which allowed to reduce the complication rate. The main conclusions are introduced in practical work of ophthalmology consulting-centers. The sphere of usage is medicine,ophthalmology.
