Essay

The Dissertation is devoted to elaboration of the sci-entific fundamentals of the existing Ukrainian railways' refurbishment for introduction of increased-speed train services. The researches are executed with use of the system approach, take into account the preconditions of introduction of speed movement of trains on the international transport corridors for Ukraine. On the basis of mathematical model of a flow of trains, experiments and theoretical researches the normative base for refurbishment of the plan and longitudinal profile of speed railway is developed. The complex technique is offered which allows with the given probability to calculate the necessary capital investment for refurbishment of curves, to define measures, which will lower of acceleration working on the passenger, and will improve comfort of driving. A mathematical model has been developed for selection of the optimal strategy of a railway's reconstruction. The use of vector optimization method and semi-additive functions allowsdetermining the rational speed on each object or site, in accordance with the optimization criterion. The theoretical and practical results of the current work have been used in performance of the scientific research, made on the order of the 5th Commission of the Organization for Railways Cooperation, Ministry of Transport of Ukraine, Ukrainian Railway Department (Ukrzaliznytsja), have comprised a component part of four normative documents.
