Essay

Object - optical polarization charts, ferroelectric and dielectric crystals. Purpose - creation of new methods of measuring, construction of polarimeters and research of the parametric optical phenomena in crystals at the phase transition. Methods - high accuracy polarimetry, image-polarimetry. The universal methods of measuring of optical activity, electrogyration, other parametric optical phenomena on a background of linear birefringence are developed. The computerized measuring complexes are created, among them and with registration of images, for realization of these methods. Advantages above the known analogue HAUP are attained. Parametric optical effects in the ferroelectrics - KDP group crystals, Rochelle salt, solid solutions on the basis of lead germanate, gadolinium molybdate, their features at the phase transition are explored. It is shown, that study of spontaneous and induced electrogyration gives advantages on comparison with similar dielectric measuring. The control device of optical radiation - filters, diaphragm are offered.
