Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of new physical phenomena arising in low-dimensional spin systems with competing interactions. Оn the basis of proposed effective field theories and developed method of constructing matrix product wave functions, phase diagrams and spectra are established for a number of quantum models of low-dimensional magnets . Dynamics and thermodynamics of gapped low-dimensional magnets in strong magnetic field is studied.
