Essay

Scientific fundamentals of the process intensification of vibrocentrifugal separation of grain mixtures have been worked out. A new concept of inter-layer process modeling has been realized applied to the mixtures to be separated with intensifiers within. Similarity of the processes of inter-layer dynamics in grain mixtures and irreversible non-equilibrium processes of kinetic-molecular nature has been confirmed. Non-linear dynamics, fractal kinetics, non-extensive thermodynamics of separation processes have been investigated, gene-oriented optimization of the obtained mathematical models has been achieved and calculation methods of intensification processes of vibrocentrifugal separation have been developed based on technological indexes of efficiency and quality.Dynamic, volumetric and surface intensifiers have been designed that have been introduced into serial production of separators. Specified efficiency of separation processes performed by vibrocentrifugal separators has been increased by 80…90per cent and consumption of energy and metal have been reduced by 35.4 … 38.8 per cent and 40 … 56.6 per cent respectively.
