Essay

A theoretical model to describe coupled mechanical, thermal and diffusive processes in multicomponent solids (solid solutions) of low electrical conductivity subjected to quasisteady electromagnetic field in radio- and visible ranges is developed. Components of solid have different polarization characteristics. A model is grounded on continual theory of hard mixture, composed of dominant component (matrix) and impurities, and statistical description of electromagnetic field interaction with multicomponent solid. It also accounts for different energetic state of the components in physically small domains of a solid. Various approximations of the model are considered. Solutions of the new important problems of mechanothermodiffusion for a layer subjected to quasisteady electromagnetic radiation are obtained with use of known analytical and numerical methods.
