Essay

The comprehensive experimental investigation of energy spectrum and the main mechanisms of relaxation of electron, exiton and phonon exitations in highly anisotropic layered semiconductors InI and solid solutions with cation substitution InxTl1-xI. The methods of synthesis and growth of block and film crystals, nano-phases incorporated into different porous matrixes and intercalation of investigated materials have been originated. A number of new effects have been discovered: autointercalatiton, Fano antirasonance of vibrational exitations, quantum-size effect. Obtained results found the new trend for the physic of semiconductors - spectroscopy of highly anisotropic layered semiconductors and nanocrystals based on investigated materials. Application - optoelectronic materials science.
