Essay

Based on the numerical investigations of free and forced vibrations of the models of elastic body with a closing crack there was shown the influence of the type and level of damping in the system, of concomitant mode shapes and of the effect of the premature (late) crack opening or closure on the parameters of non-linearity of the vibration processes of displacement, acceleration and strain at principal, superharmonic and subharmonic resonances.
