Essay

Object - foundry cast irons of various classes created in researches, and mechanisms of their structural strengthening; the purpose of the research - development of basement for structure formation and management of properties of phosphorized cast irons, working in conditions of cyclic loadings and elevated temperatures; methods - statistical and determined factorial analyses; physical and mathematical modeling; optical and electronic microscopy; quantitative analyses of chemical and phase structures; static and cyclic (at 20 and 450°С) tests on crack resistance, thermal resistance in conditions of thermo cyclic (400 <=> 600°С) loadings; determination mechanical properties; operational tests; results - for the first time it was offered to characterize phosphide eutectic in cast irons by index Iфе and parameter of form, using which the mathematical model was theoretically developed and analytical expression for calculation of phosphorized cast irons strength was received; by the method of the determined factorial analysis the share of influence of phosphide eutectic, graphite and a metal matrix on cast iron properties was established, the equations describing influence of phosphorus additives on mechanical properties of cast irons in castings have been received; experimental dependences of phosphide eutectic influence on crack resistance (at 20 and 450°С), thermal resistance (at 400 <=> 600°С), micromechanisms of fracture in conditions of different loadings and temperatures have been obtained; novelty - analytical and graphic interrelations between structural components of phosphorized cast irons and dependences of mechanical and service properties on increased amounts of phosphide eutectic in foundry cast irons of different classes have been established; introduced - on Melitopol Motor Works of AutoZAZ Inc. "Коммунар" and JSC " Motor - Sich " with total annual economic income of 4011.2 thousand UAH; branch of introduction - mechanical engineering.
