The dissertation discloses a new area for researching the experience of self-sufficiency when two contradictory traditions are distinguished: theistic and non-theistic mysticism with the tendency of person’s transforming his/her states - on the one hand, and postnontheistic mysticism, which denies forced transforming and is sceptical to transforming activity, including person’s transforming his/her states – on the other hand.
