Shkorbotun V. Tympanoplasty at fellow time after curing extra- end intracranial complications of chronic purulent otitis media

The thesis is devoted to a surgical treatment of patients with extra- and intracranial complications of chronic otitis media (COM). For the dissertation 275 patients with COM were investigated and treated, also experimental study chronical inflammation in middle ear on 40 rats was performed. New method treatment patients with complicated COM by performing tympanoplasty at fellow time after curing extra- end intracranial complications was created. Postponed tympanoplasty was possible to make at 50 (59,5%) of 84 patients who had intracranial complications and 63 (64,9%) of 97 - extracranial. Positive long-term morphological results of postponed tympanoplasty after surgical treated otogenic extra- and intracranial pathology was got in 83,9% and 84,8% cases. Social-adequate hearing at long-term observation has 82,6% patients after cured intracranial complication and 76,5% - after extracranial.
