The object – inflammatory processes in the periodontal tissues, disturbances in the homeostasis of periodontal cell membranes; the aim – raise of the prophylactic and treatment efficiency in patients with periodontitis; methods – experimental, ultrastructural, biochemical, functional, pharmakinetic, toxicological, histological, immunological, cell culture, clinical and laboratory, statistical; novelty – membrane mechanisms in the development of periodontitis have been grounded for the first time, composition of medicines with membranotrophic effect has been created and its efficiency has been determined; results – new experimental model of the development of periodontitis has been elaborated and new direction in the treatment and prophylaxis of periodontitis has been worked out; introduction of new techniques in practical medicine and educational process; the branch – dentistry.
